No valid SIM card inserted. The text “no SIM-card” is displayed in the telephone view.

 

Cause

No SIM card inserted.

The SIM card is incorrectly inserted.

The SIM card is defective.

Notes

 

Action

Shut down the system.

If a SIM card is inserted and the lock is not in the lock position, turn the lock to the lock position.

If the SIM card is broken, renew the SIM card. Insert the new SIM card and turn the lock to the lock position.

 

If a SIM card has not been inserted in the card holder, insert one and turn the lock to the lock position.

The current consumption on the control unit output has exceeded 12A.

Cause

Short circuit in the relay for current consuming equipment R19 or in the cable harness.

 

Notes

Front foglamp is inoperative. Every time the function is activated, the current consumption on the control unit output is checked. If the current consumption is too high, the output is switched off and a fault code is registered.

 

Action

Check the bulbs. Also, check the number of connected lamps in circuit. Check whether there is a short circuit to ground.

Regulation of internal supply voltage to the solenoid valves does not work as intended. This has caused supply voltage to be higher than permitted.

 

Cause

Internal fault in the control unit.

 

Notes

A yellow warning indication is displayed.

 

Action

Clear the fault code.

Turn off the power with the starter key.

Wait for 60 seconds.

Switch on the voltage with the starter key.

If the fault code it still active, renew the control unit.

Error identification

Siren N9 is short-circuited to ground/the voltage supply..

 

Cause

Fault in harness-to-component connectors or cable harness for siren N9.

Fault in siren N9.

Faulty ALM control unit E7.

 

Symptom

The siren does not work correctly.

 

Action

Disconnect siren N9.

Measure against ground and voltage on the pins in the nearest harness-to-component connector leading to control unit pin A11.

 

Disconnect the harness-to-component connector on the control unit.

Measure for short circuits throughout the cable harness.

If there are several harness-to-component connectors between the component and the control unit, also measure these to locate the fault.

 

If the fault is not in the cable harness or the component, it is probably an internal fault in the control unit.

Cause

Fault in harness-to-component connectors or cable harness for the wake-up signal for Scania Communicator.

Internal fault in ALM control unit E7.

Symptom

The alarm system cannot initiate Scania Communicator.

 

Action

Disconnect the harness-to-component connector to ALM control unit pin A5.

Measure for short circuits throughout the cable harness.

If there are a number of harness-to-component connectors between the wake-up signal and the ALM control unit, disconnect them and measure in order to isolate the fault.

If the fault is not in the cable harness it is probably an internal fault in ALM control unit E7.
